Adults Judging Teenagers
Friday, January 22, 2010 at 1:37PM I think it's crazy how adults judge teenagers.
No wonder we all want to rebel. Let's be honest: in high school most kids date several people.
Or they date the same person over and over again. Sometimes you even break up with someone to go back to that person you date over and over again.
I think that sometimes that person gets hurt and they are overly upset.
It gets ridiculous when parents are overbearing and they get involved in their child's break up, as in the case of name-calling.
It is not the place of a 45-year-old parent of a 15 year old to call an 18-year-old girl a slut.
There are lines that should not be crossed and this is one of them.
I think adults should think about the negative effects the things they say have on children before they say them.
Otherwise there can be huge problems between teenagers and their self-esteem.
